Civil NDT is not as simple as it sounds, it includes :

supporting evidence

If these workflows are forced into generic forms, the experience becomes slow, inconsistent, and error-prone.

The UX Challenge

The biggest challenge was designing civil NDT workflows without increasing complexity. Civil NDT s technical, but the UX must still feels simple and guided for technicians.

Typical Civil NDT Workflow (Designed)

Test Selection -> Technicians begin by selecting the test as a to-do task.
Site and Equipment -> The workflow captures essential information for the testing such as – different readings, location, reference, etc.
Evidence and Observations -> Photos, notes, Defect Remarks and Observations
Report Generation -> The workflow ends with a structured report output that remains consistent across jobs.

Key UX Strategy: Step-Base Flow

To reduce confusion, the Civil NDT workflow was designed like a guided side panel instead of a long scrolling form.
